Northway Apartments is a small, residential community consisting of sixty-two garden apartments located on the high demand Eastside of Greenville, SC. Northway is a quiet community which has demonstrated itself to be a clean, friendly and safe place to live for individuals who desire those qualities in a home.
We offer one and two bedroom apartments on a one year renewable lease. Our apartments have electric heat and air conditioning and a ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Each room has it's own thermostat so you can adjust the heat up or down, on or off in each individual room for your comfort and to save on heating costs. All apartments are furnished with a refrigerator with self defrosting freezer and range with an oven for baking and broiling.
There's a freshly shampooed wall to wall carpet in the livingroom and bedroom and vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bath. Bathrooms have a tub and tiled shower. Kitchens have plenty of cabinet space and bedrooms, a large double door closet. All windows have new adjustable blinds and screens. While we do love animals, we must maintain a strict no pet policy out of deference to those with allergies.
We have a laundry on site which never closes. It's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have both on site management as well as on site maintenance staffing. Northway is a great place to live!
50 years and counting
Northway Apartments has been meeting the residential housing needs of Greenville County since 1965. Originally built to accomodate the needs of distant transfer students to the nationally known Bob Jones University, Northway soon after opened it's doors to others in need of economical one and two bedroom housing.
In 1994 operations expanded to make available larger, off site units. Over the years, our team has established a reputation for providing a warm and friendly atmosphere and total customer satisfaction. We are committed to meeting and exceeding the needs of every resident.
Northway offers the perfect combination of qualities for those of us that may have slowed down a bit over the years. While everybody loves the ambience of the Eastside, our location, one door East of Haywood Road across the street from BiLo, is more than a convenience for individuals who no longer drive. Northway is walking distance to a variety of shops, restaurants, medical and recreational facilities. Everything you need is within walking distance!
In addition to a great location, our grounds have been designed with you in mind. There are no stairs on the entire property and instead of having a long trek from a parking lot, you can park right next to your building -- sometimes next to your apartment door!
Northway is a friendly place to live. Our residents stay with us for years, some for decades! Whereas many complexes accept short term, more transient clientele, we do not -- so our residents come to know each other and look out for one another. At this time in our society when families scatter to far off places, it's nice to come home to a place that feels like family!
The first step toward joining us, is to submit an application as early as possible. Because we're the best local residential complex in our price range, we don't have a lot of vacancies -- and the vacancies we do have are filled really fast! It's best to get on our waiting list a month or two before you'll need to move in to avoid disappointment.
Our leasing office opens Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5:15 PM and is open Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM until Noon. If you'd like to pick up an application outside those hours, there's always one available right next door to the office, on the windowsill in the laundry room, which is open 24/7. You can pick up an application, take it home, fill it out & bring it back during business hours.

Northway is only a short distance north of Greenville's largest indoor shopping mall and I-385. To our east, we're between the Greenville County Recreational District's "Pavillion" (an indoor recreational facility which features a year-round ice skating/inline skating rink, lessons, lighted tennis courts and soccer) and in the opposite direction, picnic, softball and tennis facilities at Butler Springs Park. We're right across the street from grocery shopping at BiLo and lots of restaurants, stores and services -- all within walking distance!

Effective 03/01/16 Greenville Water charges a base rate of
$6.78 plus a $11.00 wastewater base fee (in addition to your water and wastewater
consumption.) These base charges are to maintain your account and equipment
and do not include your water or wastewater usage.
The cost of water is $2.22 per 1,000 gallons.
The cost of wastewater is $5.61 per 1,000 gallons.)
This means to turn on your water service and use up to 1,000 gallons,
you will be charged $17.78 for base charges + $7.83 or a total of $25.61 for that month.
